Reflections and Comments
As I lay in my room, reflecting about my life and its toll effect on me, I wrote this poem, based on my own personal experiences I’ve had with my father. This poem can relate to any relationship. It deepens on the reader, themselves and what they reflect on as they read my poem.
This poem has strong relations to the savage in, “Brave New World.” The savage who long awaited his life in London, where he thinks he can live a better life. London was his dream. Yet, when he arrives in London, he hated it, because in society he wasn’t needed, and was isolated from everyone because he was different. He loved London because of all the great things he heard as a child, about the many people and tall structures. Yet, his dream city, rejected and isolated him.
