Land that I love: an ode to Prince Edward Island
The foamy white waves crashed against the craggy cliffs.
The violinís melodious tune rang through the salty air.
The iridescent specks of light danced in unison from atop the lighthouse.
The glimmering moors sparkled like the heart of a precious emerald.
The golden stars shimmered in ecstasy in the black night sky.
The waxen winter queen made her mark; the soft snow fell lightly to the ground.
The once-bare trees were clothed with velvety white robes.
The azure sea gleamed in the moonlight as it wound its way around a small strip of land.
The copper roads were the souls of roses, glossy, red, and beautiful.
I knew I was home, home in Prince Edward Island, the land that I love.
