We want you to be the best you starting with our ‘Welcome’ programme. A 2-day introduction to everything we do and everything you can look forward to.
Following this you will be set up with the appropriate products, processes and systems for your role. For some roles this may include time in other business areas for an overview and to begin to build your understanding across the business. For other roles this may include time in an Academy receiving side-by-side coaching and support.
Learning isn’t just about attending formal workshops so we offer you access to a broad range of development including access to a mentor, coaching, a personal development plan. We also offer the opportunity for our employees to pursue a professional qualification or an apprenticeship. We work closely with the ifs (Institute Financial Services) and an Apprenticeship provider.
For all people leadership roles we have designed a bespoke People Leadership Programme. This is aimed at stretching and developing all our people leaders and has been developed in partnership with an external consultant.
Internally as a first step towards becoming a people leader we offer a 12-month, six step ‘Preparing for Team Leadership’. This supports any individual who aspires to have leadership capability and could mean you moving into a new business area or a new function.
